Take a walk with me while I try to get into you’re head. I want to know what you are thinking, so let me in. The adventure for now is to find out what types of thoughts you have. Are they positive or negative?
Imagine walking along a road and thinking. Do you think it would be possible for someone to tell what you have contained within your mind? As a human being capable of thinking, generally the answer to whether your thoughts are positive or negative has to do with you. On the other hand, whether people could read your thoughts is very doubtful, however most are capable of noticing how you are feeling.
Now I would like to ask you another question. Think back to last party or gathering that you went to with friends. When you entered the room, how did they react? Did people get all quiet or did everyone seem happy that you were there?
The answer to all of these questions is dependent on the way you think. The mind can be a very powerful thing. Your thoughts have the ability to affect your attitude. How you appear to others, depends on the attitude that you carry. Of course, your attitude can affect others around you.
You are the one who determines the type of attitude carried with you. Either your attitude will negative or positive. The latter however, has a fulfilling effect on others around you. People, who are positive, give off an energy that many find invigorating.
Those that carry negative thoughts with them, tend to have the opposite effect on others. Negative feelings are infectious. The sad and gloomy appearance on top of the negativity does not help either.
When people are negative, others will go out of their way to avoid contact with them as if they had symptoms of the flu. People know how contagious negative feelings are and do not want any part of it. On the other hand, people who have a positive attitude, then to be very attractive to others. Others want to experience the positive effect that the individual gives to them.
The way you look at the world has a lot to do with your attitude. Looking at only negative side of the world helps to create the negative attitude that people live by. Focusing on the positive things within the world helps to live a life with more of a positive attitude.
There is a lot that you can gain by living your life with a positive attitude. Studies, show that people with a positive attitude, tend to have better health. People with positive attitude usually have more friends too. Living life within a positive glow helps with handling problems that arise, as well as having more of a handle on stress. On the other end of the scale are those with negative attitude who tend to experience a harder time with things.
Having a healthy self-image is important for developing a positive attitude. This involves having confidence, self-assurance, and satisfaction with yourself. Feeling this way, tend to help others around you feel the same way.
You need to have healthy thoughts in order to have a positive attitude. Sometimes this may become difficult with everything that you read and hear in the news, which can easily contribute to negative thoughts. For example, a study found that parents usually only say one good thing to their child out of every 14 things they say to them.
In no way would it ever be possible to be free of all the negative things that surround our lives, however it is possible to continue having a positive attitude. Instead of paying too much attention to the negative things in life, try to focus on the good thing in life.
People who have a positive attitude are a benefit to others. Usually the first thing people do when someone feels down is offer them advice. More often, these people would benefit more by having someone sit and listen to them. Having a positive attitude will help to cheer others up without even having to say anything.
Many choose to settle within the life of negative thinking, despite the gains of living with a positive attitude. Feeling sad, gloomy, or angry are part of life. Negative attitudes form from dwelling on these kinds of thoughts. Sometimes this may be their way of screaming out for help. Constant thoughts of this nature, never is healthy.
Even when life seems as it is at its worst point ever, try to focus on the positive things in life. This way, you will always have hope and know that you can overcome any problem faced.
There is a lot to gain by adopting a positive attitude. Studies have shown that people tend to have a better handle on stress and are healthier, therefore helping them to age slower. In addition, it has been found that people with positive attitudes, then to spread this to others around them.
