Why Seniors Have A Hard Time Dating

If you are a senior and you’ve been away from the dating scene for a while, you probably have some fears about going out and trying to find someone. Maybe you think that it’s too late. Well, let me tell you, it is never too late to find someone special.
You might think that there isn’t a senior dating scene. Maybe you think it would be too hard to find someone that you can connect with. Well, the AARP released a report a few years ago and it told us that almost 50% of singles aged 55 and up say that the most important reason to date is “Having someone to talk to or do things with.”
So, what is holding them back? The AARP’s report also told us that 42% of Single men 55 and up often have reservations about dating because they are worried about dating a woman with a lot of baggage. But, we can’t leave out the ladies, the same report tells us that 35% of single women 55 and up have reservations about dating because they are worried about dating a man with a lot of baggage.
It’s all too easy to get caught up in technicalities and to worry that someone with a lot of baggage will be too much to deal with. What is your best possible solution for the senior dating jitters? Be honest with yourself about what you really want. Don’t you really want someone that will make you happy?
